Exploring Governance

Participating in Quadratic Voting

1min

In some Palm Collective votes, we use a unique mechanism called Quadratic Voting. Here's how to participate in such a vote:

This approach gives you more power to express your preferences effectively. Access the Quadratic Voting Vote: First, visit the "Governance" section and look for the active vote that uses Quadratic Voting. Click on it to access the voting page. Review Your Allocation: On the left-hand side of the page, you'll see a summary of your vote allocation. It's typically 100, but this number may vary based on your voting power. Examine the Options: In the center and right section of the page, you'll find the different options or proposals under consideration. These are the choices you can vote on. Slide Your Vote: Below each option, you'll see a sliding bar. This bar represents the amount of votes you can assign to each option. To cast your vote, simply move the sliding bar from left to right to allocate your votes. Understanding Quadratic Voting: Remember that Quadratic Voting encourages the dispersion of votes. In this system, each vote you allocate to the same option takes more of your voting credits. This promotes a fairer distribution of influence. Finalize Your Votes: Once you're satisfied with your allocations, click the "Submit" or "Cast Votes" button to finalize your vote. Your votes will now be counted in the Quadratic Voting mechanism. Your participation in Quadratic Voting can have a significant impact on the outcome of a proposal. It's a powerful way to express your preferences and help shape the future of the Palm Collective.
