Creating Your Community

Prerequisites:

Before you begin, ensure you have a Palm-ID with three different social verifiers. If you need assistance, refer to the tutorial on “How to Create and Verify Your Palm-ID”.

Accessing the Communities Section:

  • Navigate to the Home page of the Palm Collective.
  • Click on the two lines in the top left corner to expand the menu.
  • Select ‘Communities’ from the available options.

Exploring and Joining Communities:

  • In the Communities section, browse through the existing communities and join those that interest you.

Creating a New Community:

  • Scroll back to the top of the Communities section.
  • Click on “Create New Community” located in the upper right corner.

  • Fill in the required information in the form that appears:
  • Community Name
  • Image and Banner
  • Tagline, Mission, or Description
  • Category
  • Social Media Links
  • Website Details
  • Upload Relevant Documents

  • Once all information is entered, click “Submit” to create your community.

Confirmation and Admin Panel Access:

  1. After submitting, wait a few seconds for the community to be created.
  2. A confirmation pop-up will appear, granting access to the Community Admin Panel.
  3. Click on the provided link to access the Admin Panel.

Managing Your Community:

In the Admin Panel, you can:

  1. Create Proofs
  2. Create Open Calls
  3. Participate in Discussions (coming soon)

Next Step: Creating a Membership Proof

After successfully creating your community, the next step is to establish a Membership Proof. This proof validates the membership of individuals within your community. Refer to the tutorial on creating a Membership Proof to proceed.

Creating a New Community:

Scroll back to the top of the Communities section.

Click on “Create New Community” located in the upper right corner.

Fill in the required information in the form that appears:

Community Name

Image and Banner

Tagline, Mission, or Description

Category

Social Media Links

Website Details

Upload Relevant Documents

Once all information is entered, click “Submit” to create your community.

Confirmation and Admin Panel Access:

After submitting, wait a few seconds for the community to be created.

A confirmation pop-up will appear, granting access to the Community Admin Panel.

Click on the provided link to access the Admin Panel.

Managing Your Community:

In the Admin Panel, you can see the communities where you are an Admin:

Select the community and you can:

Create Proofs

Create Open Calls

Participate in Discussions (coming soon)
